By PRES HALL
The Talbot County
Recreational Titans traveled
to Dooly County, Vienna, GA
this past Saturday, February
17th to participate in the Flint
River League Championship
Playoff competition.
A w;y long, interesting
and exciting day as teams
from all surrounding areas
competed in playoff for the
Championship.
The Titans' momentum
was great even after the long
ride. Several teams played at
different times.
The Titans 7 & 8 years old
coached by B. (Heavy D)
Pennyman and Jeffery (Tae)
Black on over the Dooly
County Bobcats with a score
of 16-9. Both teams played
very well allowing only a few
scores.
Later on in the afternoon
it was time for the 9 & 10 years
old coached by Derek Carter
and Jeffery (Tae) Black play-
ing the Marion County Eagles
winning with a nearly
blowout of 32-7.
As the evening progress,
it was time for the 11 & 12
years old coached by Greg
Dewberry to have their
chance but unfortunately
loss after a strong effort and
giving all they had.
Regretfully, with that loss,
they weren't able to advance
to the final.
I told them, "If you've
done your best, be proud,
that's all required."
However we are just as
proud of them as well.
With that being said, the
Titans were back on the road
again to Dooly County
Championship Finals
Monday evening, February
19, 2018.
Unfortunately, the Titans
7 & 8 years old played well
but lost to the Taylor County
Vikings 17-11 still taking 1st
Place Runner-up.
Then came the 9 & 10
years old playing the Dooly
County Bobcats winning 32-
19 claiming the Flint River
League Championship and
trophy for their age group.
What a fantastic and
remarkable season for our
young Titans!
However, in every game,
some win and some lose but
its most important how you
play the game. Always give
your best, show great sports-
manship and manners, and
do enjoy and have tons of fun!
Of course the season is
over, so again the Titans are
grateful to everyone for this
season's support. They thank
everyone for everything,
especially their coaches who
are there all the time helping
them to become great ath-
letes.
Again, we certainly thank
God for our Titans. You have
made God and us proud!

Mr. Moore, owner of Moore's On The Outside, had this to
say about using this newspaper's Business and Service Guide
to advertise his business.
"1 was surprised by the response my adve semont on
Business and Service Guide page generated," Moore said.
"We have been advertising on the page for more than a year
now and continue to get response.
'The key, it to be consistent with the advertising on the
page. It has generated us a lot of business."
